Our Dress Code

● Shirts: Battle shirt colors are navy blue, white, hunter green, yellow, and gray with NO EXCEPTIONS. All students must wear collared shirts (long or short sleeves) including polo shirts, oxford shirts, or turtlenecks. UNIFORM COLORS ONLY.
Battle T-shirts created for special events such as Arts Experience, Choir, Track, Musicals or any shirts sold by PTA may be worn any day of the week. Undershirts, if worn, must be solid white.
● Slacks/Shorts: All students may wear khaki, brown, gray or navy blue pants and shorts. Pants and shorts must be worn at the waist and be appropriate length at all times. Shorts must be fingertip length when arms are at your sides. Students may not wear denim/jeans or black pants.
● NEW!!! Athletic shorts (cotton material), sweats, and jogger pants with no stripes or markings can be worn in the colors Navy, Gray, and Hunter Green.
● Skorts/Jumpers/Skirts/Dresses: Color options include navy blue, gray, hunter green, khaki, yellow, or french toasts plaid. No short shorts, dresses, or mini-skirts may be worn. These must be fingertip length when arms are at your sides.
● Cardigan/pullover sweater/sweater vest/crew neck sweatshirts: All students may wear navy blue, green, yellow, gray or white items. All items must be solid in color and free of patterns or designs.
● Shoes: Tennis shoes are suggested for safety, comfort, and an active day. Soft-soled shoes with a good tread are also acceptable. All shoes must be closed toed and have a back piece/heel. Crocs may be worn with the full strap around the back of the heel at all times. Students may NOT wear Crocs on days they have gym class or additional physical activity such as field day or off campus field trips. Sandals, flip flops, cleats, rollers skate shoes, slippers, and high heels are not permitted.
● Socks/Leggings: All students must wear socks. Leggings or footless tights may not be worn as pants. Leggings and tights may be worn under shorts, pants, skirts, skorts and dresses. Leggings can be solid or printed, but they must be worn in addition to an approved uniform bottom piece listed above.
● Coats Outerwear may not be worn in the building other than in the classroom with teacher approval. Solid colored sweaters are acceptable. No hooded sweatshirts allowed during the school day.
If students come to school in violation of the dress code, parents may be called to bring acceptable clothing. No logos on clothing other than Battle issued shirts are permitted. No backpacks/book bags on wheels or string backpacks. Administration will address any clothing, jewelry, etc. deemed as being disruptive or taking away from the learning environment. Hats, hoods, costume pieces such as cat ears, and athletic headbands are not allowed. Students arriving at school out of uniform may be required to call home so a parent or guardian can bring the appropriate clothing to school, or will be asked to change into uniform appropriate items from the school’s uniform closet.
