Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year!!

I am Ms. Majors and look forward to another exciting year in the library! This will be my 17th year in education. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of North Alabama in 2006 and my master's degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2010. I have a sixth grader at CCA and three dogs that keep me busy when I don't have my nose in a book. I look forward to teaching your children this year. 

Battle library teaches students to become information literate lifelong learners and digital citizens--who love to read! The skills embedded in my curriculum are not just about doing well in school, but about becoming curious critical thinkers and principled problem solvers for life. I offer a lot of hands on library investigation through texts and technology while integrating classroom lesson plans on a weekly basis. I work with teachers to design and teach curriculum. I empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information all while developing and strengthening a love for reading.
