Hello... 

My name is Carrie Shipley!

This is my fourth year teaching. I have spent the past 3 years teaching kindergarten at Battle Academy. This year I am moving up to fourth grade. I graduated from UTC with a degree in early childhood education with endorsements in K-8 intervention and early childhood special education in May of 2019. This past fall I started my master's degree at UTC. I am pursuing a degree in School Leadership: Supervisor and Administrator Leadership. I am so very excited to teach fourth grade this year.

I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in kindergarten myself. I teach, because I want my students to know they can do anything they set their mind to if they're willing to work hard enough, and the first step towards reaching their dreams is receiving a high-quality education. I want my students to feel empowered and loved.
